My dream of competing in university is still a priority. Unfortunately due to Covid 19 in BC there has been no track competitions for two years. I have learn’t that I have to be resilient and instead of giving up I have worked on my speed , technique and strength training. I know when competition comes back I will be a strong contender..
I have played multiple sports so far in my life; boxing, judo, soccer, baseball and jujitsu but have settled on being a two sport athlete in high school with track and basketball.
I have won Club Provincials in both track and jujitsu and was ranked number one in the Province in long jump as a freshman (grade9). In grade 8 , I made the Vancouver Island team in Basketball and had to travel 6.5 hours to get to my weekly practice.
I have continued to work hard in the class room consistently staying on the honor roll with a gpa of 4.0
I think that the pandemic has allowed me time to further develop myself as a person. I have been developing my business skills by working two jobs, reading more about business and goal setting as well as working out and developing my speed.
I am looking forward to hearing from to you see how I can fit into the needs of your team.
