Personal Statement

I love to push myself. In the sport of cross country, I am a fairly competitive individual, but I enjoy the process more than anything. I am a captain on my team at Liberty High School and I was the team captain as a sophomore at Bakersfield Christian as well. Aside from running, I find myself naturally inclined to music, which I get from my mom who was an excellent piano player up until her late 20's, when she decided to pursue other hobbies. Volunteering at local churches to lead worship, I am typically on the drum kit or behind the microphone with a guitar. I am a born leader and lover of people.

Are you in honor classes?

Yes. This year, I on taking Honors Physics because my school does not offer AP in this subject. My junior year I took Honors Math Analysis (Pre-Calculus). Sophomore year I took Honors Intro to Literature, Honors Algebra 2, and Honors Chemistry. Freshman year I took Honors Introductory English/Language, Honors Geometry, and Honors Biology.

Are you in AP/IB classes?

Yes. This year I am taking AP Calculus, AP Computer Science, and AP Psychology. Last year I am currently enrolled in AP Chemistry and AP English/Language. Sophomore year I took AP World History.

Awards and Activities

ActivitiesI am a musician and a worship leader at my church, playing roughly every week at the youth group there. I took Wind Ensemble my freshman year and Jazz Band my sophomore year, both at Bakersfield Christian High School where I attended for two years. I play multiple instruments: drum kit, guitar, bass, piano, ukulele, many percussion instruments, and I sing too.
