For most of my life, I considered myself not as a runner but as a soccer player. I played for years thinking that soccer was the only sport for me, but that soon come to an end. One day, my dad took me out to get into good condition for soccer and made me do a lot of running drills. I loved doing those drills. The very next year, I tried out for my middle school cross-country team. Running quickly became the sport that I love the most. Running became a lifestyle for me. Going into freshmen year of high school I was really excited to start running cross-country and track. At my very first meet, running at Woodward park, I was able to get the 3rd fastest time for the varsity team and was put on the varsity team. As time past, I had to battle through some personal challenges but I didn't let those challenges stop me. With my athleticism and work ethic, I kept on pushing myself trying to improve myself and driving myself to keep on pushing to become faster. My work ethic also shows in the classroom as I am able to get a 3.0 or higher while taking honors and AP classes.
