Raul Acevedo '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello I am Raul Acevedo. I'm apart of the class of 2023 at Summit Collegiate High School who has a main focus on cross country but also wants to get into soccer in this upcoming year. I started doing cross country during my freshman year where I made a big impression in my first practice and have since only been getting better and better with each practice and meet I come across. Even when I am not practicing with the cross country team at my school, I make time to go out and practice whether it be stamina or speed workouts in order to maintain in shape year round.  I aspire to compete at a collegiate level and would use the opportunity if given to not only better myself, but the image of the school representing. Something that I believe makes me stand out from others is that I hold a valley title while also having a really high GPA and being in a community college on top of my high school classes. This shows that I'm well prepared for academics and sports in a college setting where I will give it my absolute best. The most important characteristic that I posses is being able to work well with others and being able to push those around me to do better whether it be on or off a cross country team. At the moment I am not looking at any college in particular and would like to keep my options open to see which college is able to offer the best opportunities for me.
