Personal Statement

Since I was a kid I've always loved to run. This love led me to join track in middle school. However, I missed my entire 6th grade season and part of my 7th grade year due to injury. These setbacks led me to be even more determined to succeed in running. Going into high school I desired success in the sport but didn't quite refine my training until the beginning of my sophomore year in track. That was the season that I went on to win a 2A state championship in the 800. As a junior, the following year, I went on to win the 3200, 1600, and 800 state championships in a span of two days. I currently hold the 2A CO state record 800m with a time of 1:54.7.

As I progress through the rest of my high school career, I look to continue to improve on my personal bests, and become an even better student. I have always been ambitious and I strive to be better than I have been in the past. I plan on using my strong work ethic to constantly get faster and stronger. I hope to be a strong addition to whatever college team I run with.
