I strive to be the best person I can be, whether that would be as an athlete, a scholar, or a friend. I believe it's important to love what you do. After trying out different sports, I fell in love with Track and Field and chose to stick with it instead of a pretty successful baseball path that I was on. It wasn't long before I exceeded my own expectations just by doing what I loved. I found myself embracing challenges and finding ways to push myself in order to improve slowly, even if it is inches at a time. Even as a scholar, I challenge myself every year with difficult classes and have learned valuable lessons regarding time management.
