Jackson Hemphill '19 Recruiting Profile

From day one in High School, pole vault has been my passion because of the way it challenges me both physically and mentally.  Although I have great track coaches at my school, none of them have event specific knowledge of pole vault.  In order to excel in my event, I have had to seek instruction on my own through studying online resources and learning from other coaches in the area.  Track has enabled me to make many friends both at my school and throughout the state in competitions.  I look forward to challenging myself and making new friends on a collegiate track team, while pursuing an education and career in Biology/Engineering.
