Track and Field is somewhat new to me, in the way that I went into high school athletics imagining that i would be focusing on Cross Country and the longer distances in track and field. Towards the end of my Sophomore year of track and field, I decided to try the 110 high hurdles and triple jump, as a joke, and to my surprise my coach decided to put me in those events. Even more to my surprise I qualified for states in both of these events. Being my second track and field season competing in the shorter distances, I think my times are above average, and I have more room for improvement in my upcoming seasons. Being more committed to my future and my personal health, I have began to focus more on my education, hopefully aspiring to be a graduating with a degree of finance or accounting of some sort. Regarding personal health, I have switched to only drinking water to limit the amount of sugar and bad chemicals I am consuming in my body, as well as going to the gym in order to become stronger and more fit for track and field. With my background in both long and short distances, my coach and my teammates believe that being a "Jack of all Trades", I could be a decent candidate in a decathlon, which I will hopefully be able to compete in during the end of the outdoor track and field season.
