I love running, but I wasn’t always a runner. I had tried several other sports, but when I joined Cross Country in 8th grade, I felt the connection I was looking for. Since then, I have grown to love the sport even more and the team family that comes along with it. Being a three season runner has shown me the true definition of commitment and has opened so many doors for me. The favorite part of the sport is the sense of accomplishment I get when I get a new PR, proving to me that all the work I've put in has paid off.
Outside of running, I am an Eagle Scout, a graduate of the National Youth Leadership Training program and a recipient of the CAS Scholar Leader award. These experiences have shaped me to value hard work, sportsmanship and supportiveness so that both I and those around me can succeed. I would be a valuable asset to your program because of my personal ambition and desire to push those around me to succeed while enjoying the college athletic experience.
