Stacy Lumpkin '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Stacy Lumpkin. I am a Senior at Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Ga. I will graduate with a 3.5 GPA in May 2021. I am interested in attending a college that will challenge me as a student-athlete. Track is my passion. It is the sport that I have participated in every year since middle school, until the pandemic. My participation in track has allowed me to challenge myself, grow my leadership skills, and learn ways to work as a team. It is a sport that I would love to compete in on a collegiate level. 

As you are reading this, you may be wondering, what makes me different from all the other recruits? Well, I am glad you asked. I am different because I am mentally tough. I do not shy away from getting better. My spirit is unyielding. I have been given tough feedback from coaches that have made me stronger. I do not sulk over constructive criticism and critiques of my skills. I am respectful and continue to work hard on and off the track. 

I also work hard in the classroom. I plan to major in Physical Therapy. This major will help me to help others when they are not at their best. I know what it feels like to be hurt and not able to do everyday activities without pain. All and all these are just a few of the future aspirations that I would hope to come true.
