Thomas Davis '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches,  while I love basketball, I also love track and field and have excelled since I was 7 years old. Throughout my young career, I have achieved lots of memorable accomplishments. My favorite has been placing 6th in the long jump in the 2013 Junior Olympics. While I  had the opportunity to go back in 2014 and 2015, in '14, I chose to run in a competitive invitational track meet in Australia with my sister and more people from the USA. It was a great experience and was awarded 2nd in the long jump and 5th in the 100 against high schoolers. This past season, I had the pleasure of being trained by Olympic Gold medalist, Dwight Phillips, in the long jump. My goal in track is to reach the best possible times and marks I can before my journey is over. I don't want to end my high school and college career regretting that I didn't work hard in a practice or not get a mark I knew I could make. I strive to work hard each and every time I step on the track.
