My name is Cameron McDowell but I go by “Cam”. I’ve always had a passion for track and field since I started in 7th grade. I fell in love specifically with the hurdles after breaking the school record for Kennedy Road Middle School, in 2017. I've never necessarily had a role model to shape me into the person I am today, but I watched what happened around me and learned right from wrong. Every coach that I’ve encountered throughout my athletic career has described me as coachable. I do things the first time I am told and exactly how I am told how to do it. Participating in this event has influenced me in a positive manner. It has taught me patience and perseverance. My academic goal for high school is to graduate with honors with a 3.8 GPA or higher.
