I’ve wanted to compete as an NCAA track athlete ever since I first started running in fifth grade. Ever since then I’ve been running on both my cross country and track school teams, and I am now a junior in high school. Track and cross country has shaped me into the person I am today, it has taught me a lot in life and even reflects in school. Throughout the years it has taught me to be persistent in difficult situations and remain resilient throughout my everyday life.
In the near future I want to attend a university and become a pediatric physical therapist. I want to help people, but I also want to work in a field involving kids because that’s where I feel like would suit me best. I am the oldest among 6 kids in my family so working around and with kids has just been apart of my life, but this has also helped me develop skills such as listening and communication skills that I believe I take up very well, which not only has improved my life as a student but more accurate as a student-athlete.
