Hello Coaches,
My name is Isaiah Hamann and I run for Dunlap High School in Peoria, IL. I run track and cross country for Dunlap and my events are the 800, 4x800, and 1600. I would love to run at the collegiate level. My goals and aspirations for the collegiate level are just working hard and doing my job to help the team. I want to become a leader on the team, not just on the track but behind the scenes. I want to make teammates feel like they are involved and have their part on the team. One of my big goals is to become a professional runner in the Olympics but that is going to take hard work and dedication; which I provide day in and day out. I would be a good candidate for any team because I would listen to advice coaches and teammates give me to better improve. I would also be a hard worker and give it all I've got if that's either on the track or the cross country course. I'm different from other recruits because of how dedicated I am to running that goes for eating right, working hard in practice, lifting teammates up, and pushing everything in meets to become better as an individual. My character is also very unique because of how focused I am and how determined I am to improve every single day. My academics play a role into my difference from other recruits because I shift over my focus as much as I do on the course as I do in the classroom. My grades have never slowed me down from striving inside the classroom and outside of it as well.
