Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Kevin Chaney I am currently a Junior attending Midwest Central High School in Manito, Illinois. I've been running since my current coach started a "Runnin Club" during the summer of 4th grade. I ran in middle school but at the time I was not running 800M-Cross Country. I thought running a mile was hard so I didn't want to do it. My middle school did not offer Cross Country at the time so when I got to Highschool I did it to stay in shape. After that year my coach started putting me in middle distances for Track, I was definitely better in middle distances than the 100M I was used to running in middle school. I'm looking for a school that will pursue my interest in running and support my academic goals throughout my college career. My intended major in college is Mechanical Engineering.
