For only being a junior in high school as of writing this, I feel like I have a lot to write about. I started running in 6th grade for my middle school's track and cross country teams, in middle school I wasn't very interested in running and I wasn't great at it, I didn't even want to run in high school until my mom convinced me to. My new teammates, coaches, and the different level of competition made me fall in love with the sport. Since my freshman year, I've had major improvements, both athletically and academically. I have won two conference titles, went all-conference three times and qualified for state once. I am very competitive and have a strong work ethic that I think very few other athletes can match. I've been the number one runner on my team since freshman year during track season, which has put me in the role of being a leader for a long time. I have many more goals to reach before I graduate high school, after that's over I want to be apart of a winning college program and attain the best education I possibly can.
