I have one primary motivation in sports and everything I do... and that is to better know Jesus and make Him known to others. Therefore, as an ambassador of Christ, I am extremely hardworking, motivated, and competitive. I am respectful to authority, but I am confident in my identity as well. Priorities are very important to me, and I am careful of the things that may distract me from my priorities. I posses a passion for the sport and my work ethic makes the passion apparent.
I am very involved in the community. I participate in Kansas Association for Youth (KAY) Club, Boyscouts, FCCLA, Band, Cross Country, Basketball, Forensics (Drama), Math Relays, Scholars/Quiz Bowl, and I lead the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Huddle. I am a member of the National Honor Society and the OHS Honor Roll. I play the Piano, Trumpet, Violin, Guitar, the Cajon, and I also sing.
But the primary message that I wish to convey is that as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, there is no battle that is too big. I will be strong, and confident even in the face of adversity. Because I am living and working and running for a cause that is much greater than myself, I will never be truly defeated.
The LORD is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble?
