My goal is to be the best student/athlete that I can possible be. I am an extremely hard worker who is more than willing to do anything it takes to make my teammates and myself the best that we can be. I have been running cross-country since the fifth grade, and I always had my eyes set on becoming one of the best runners on my team. In 2016, my freshman year, I quickly found myself succeeding at this goal, as I earned myself a spot in the Varsity top 7 for my school. Sadly though, I found myself get hit with a stress fracture in my right leg at the end of the season, which was really upsetting. But like I said before about how I am willing to do anything and everything for this team no matter what, I forced myself to run in the 2016 LHSAA Cross Country State Meet with my broken leg. We ended up winning the state title which was the greatest sports moment of my life. I knew that the decision I made to run the race was very poor, but I didn’t care because I went out there and I finished it. I was so immensely dedicated to the team that I could not let it stop me.
Some goals of mine are to go as close to sub 15:00 in the 3 mile. My best is 15:45. I also have my eyes set on breaking the school record in the mile which is 4:11. I am still a long ways away from accomplishing this though. Breaking 16 in the 5k is also another goal I would like to set.
I don't make the best grades in school, but I work hard and I strive to be the best possible student that I can be. I am a leader on and off the field and I believe that I am an excellent recruit that anyone will happy with.
