Sports have always been one of my many passions. Baseball, in particular, has been a sport that spoke to me when I had the opportunity to play. When I got on the field for the first time, I just felt it in my heart. I have played other sports and enjoyed them; however, baseball is one that I've grown to love. I want to play because it is an exciting and fun sport and one that I'd like to be among others on a competitive team. One of my character strengths is my drive for the game. This drive is pushing me in my workouts and conditioning to motivate me to be an exceptional athlete. I also received a late introduction into sports due to personal reasons, which is another reason why my drive is high. I want to prove that this late introduction doesn't deter my ability to excel. One of my athletic strengths is how hard I work on the field and in practice. I work hard so that I can make up for the lost time and show my coach and family that I am worth the sacrifice they each have made for me.
Academically, my strength is my focus to understand all concepts placed in front of me. I also believe in building positive relationships with my teachers, so they know I am trying my best to apply myself. I have many goals in life that I'd like to accomplish. The ultimate goal after achieving a bachelor's degree is that I want to be one of the top picks in the MLB draft. This can only be achieved through hard work and dedication. Two qualities that I know I have within me. I not only want to make my parents and coaches proud but also myself.
