Growing up I always fancied myself as a runner. When I decided to quit hockey, a sport that I had been playing my entire life, to join the track team, I did it out of sheer love and passion for running. I left everything behind i.e., hockey coaches, hockey friends, and took a leap of faith. Since day one, I have brought my A game to my track practices and meets and have come a very long way from when I joined as a sophomore to now, a junior. I started my track career late and initially had mediocre times that quickly transformed into a vital asset to the team. I had the honor to run at TCLs, States, and eventually Nationals in June 2022 in Philadelphia for the 4x400 relay. I have earned many medals, broken school records, and fostered a strong relationship with my coaches and teammates. My coaches tell me how valuable I am to the team and that I am always upbeat, approachable, entertaining, dependable teammate and friend who will always be there to celebrate other's accomplishments, lift spirits, and listen/administer advice. Many people on my team and in class feel comfortable opening up to me, a position that I take seriously. Academically, I have crushed it since elementary school all the way to my senior year receiving awards, Merit scholarships, honor and distinction roll in High School. Throughout my High School career, I have taken the most rigorous schedules with honors level and 8 AP classes all while juggling sports, my busy social life, a school media show host, and many other extracurriculars. My grades have never dipped. Any of my coaches and teachers will vouch for the fact I am dependable, consistent, a hard worker and always getting better. The best is yet to come.
