My name is Jeremiah. Ever since I was a kid, I've been passionate about playing sports, particularly basketball and soccer. In 8th grade, a friend suggested I try track and field because people always said I was fast. I gave it a shot, and it turned out to be a natural fit for me. Unfortunately, right before a big competition, I injured my hip and had to be on crutches for a while. It was a tough setback, but with the support of my parents and joining an AAU team called Maximum Output, I was able to regain my strength and speed. In my freshman year, I even made it to nationals and Junior Olympics. In 2024, I competed in the 400m and 4x1m relay race at the Junior Olympics, and I'm proud of how far I've come. Aside from track, I play the violin in an orchestra and have traveled to Paris and London for performances. I'm entering my junior year, taking advanced math and other high-level classes to challenge myself. I also do a lot of volunteer work for NAACP gatherings and have a job at Wayne State Honors College creating and designing websites. Balancing all my activities and schoolwork can be challenging, but I'm determined to do my best and learn from my mistakes. I'm also looking for an internship in architecture and engineering, as I hope to study and have a long-term career in that field. I'm pleased with how everything is progressing. I want to get into a college that betters me In all the ways I want and more.
