Kyle Mackey '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Kyle Mackey and I am a student at Tecumseh High School and I run Cross Country and Track.  I have been on the varsity team for Cross Country all 4 years (this will be my 4th year) of my high school career and my personal record for the 5k is a 17:42.9.  I ran track my sophomore year and fell in love with the sport. I ran the 800 as my main event, the 4x400 and 4x800 as side events, and I would also run the 4x100 and 4x200 if needed by my coach. Even though officially I haven't run the 400, I still enjoy that race the most. As of extracurricular activities, I have been a singer since 5th grade and am currently president of my school's choir program. I'm a Boy Scout and I'm working my way towards becoming an Eagle Scout which I expect to earn in the coming months. I am a hard worker and I wish to be successful in my career choice whatever it may be. Currently, I am trying to become an English teacher but I am also interested in History and psychology.
