Now going into my 3rd year of track this spring as a senior, I never thought I would be this into track when I first started, but now I love this sport to the point where it’s my number one sport. In my 2 years of doing track I’ve learned lots, like track doesn’t really seem like a team sport but it really is. Sure most events are you and only you but your teammates are there to support you through your ups and downs in your events, and that’s what I love about the sport, and from when I started track I jumped 5’4” and now jumping 6’4” just amazes me how much you can improve if you just put in the work. I plan to be a captain my senior year and hope to lead by example for my guys and can’t wait. In college my goal is to reach new heights and reach my goal of a 7’ jump.
