When I think about where I’ve been, who I am, and where I see myself in the future, the possibilities seem endless. My teacher once told me that I embrace possibility as reality because whatever I set my mind to, reality is not far behind. To me, reality is in the eye of the beholder with an array of endless possibilities. The world is what you choose to make it.
All throughout school, I’ve always been academically advanced with high honors along with being top of my class. I’ve maintained A very high gpa and straight A’s since kindergarten. Along with my academics, I am very involved in my community. I have volunteered to help with cleaning up natural disasters with the Beta Club and the National Honor Society along with cleaning the sports fields and collecting socks, cans of food, and other necessities for the homeless and veterans. I have and currently am still doing sports such as: football, baseball, soccer, archery, and track and field. I have done sports all of my life working through the pain and injuries I endured during that time and still maintain my good grades. As graduation draws near, it makes me a little nervous, to say the least, since I’ll be leaving my comfortable confines of Sumrall, Mississippi and heading off to college where my future awaits me, but I’m so ready to begin this new chapter of my life.
Although my future is still unknown, I know with a lot of dedication, hard work, and determination my future will be all that I’ve dreamt it to be and more. I am very eager to begin this new journey in my life because as the saying goes, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.”
