My first race shaped my MS/HS XC career, It was that first race of coming in dead last with a record slow time that fueled something deep inside me, I wanted success. This is where it all began for me, I set out to train to be the best possible runner I could be, I went to many camps where I learned to run for Jesus where my focused changed from running for me to running to serve a higher purpose. When my legs are burning and my lungs feel like they may collapse, I keep going because deep down I know that I have the to fight to overcome the obstacles life throws at me, "I will succeed!" This is my dream. I run all year long and I've logged thousands of miles. One of my goals is to run collegiately, my ultimate goal is the olympics. This is my passion, I was the "underdog". All that this did was give me an opportunity to prove to myself and everyone else that I could and will one day be one of the greatest. I don't know where I will end up in life but I know running will be apart of it.
