Personal Statement

I am interested in obtaining an advanced degree in either Physical Therapy or Psychology.  Both fields have intrigued me for quite some time now, they are both well-paying jobs where I would be allowed to work with and help people which is exactly what I would like to see.  As far as sports, it would be a dream to be able to compete in cross country and track competitively at the collegiate level. Running has always been a strong passion of mine, I see it as both the chance and opportunity to push yourself to limits you did not even know you had.  Though these two sports are very much team sports, there is also a very evident personal component.  Yes you train with a team, but you are constantly setting your own goals for yourself and striving to become a better individual. Being able to compete at such a level with thousands of outstanding athletes is my goal.  I have always planned on attending college but being able to compete in races and better my own abilities would have to be one of my largest aspirations.
