Running has become one of my main passions in life. I grew up playing soccer throughout my childhood to my teenage years until freshman year, where I was unable to make the cut of the Highschool Soccer Team. I joined the Cross Country and Track teams out of a lack of sport to play. I was not very good, in fact, I was not even near the top 7 freshman runners for Cross Country. The summer coming into Sophmore year, I worked as hard as I could to become better at running, I strived to be greater than I ever thought I could be at running and worked my way up to a breakout Sophmore year. I had come into the season not knowing what to expect and ended up running times I never thought I could. That improvement continues to remind me to this day, that my number one goal in life, whether it is to do with academics or athletics, is to never give an effort, less than 100%.
