Personal Statement
I have been playing sports for almost my whole life now. I've played soccer, bowling, basketball, baseball, football, swimming, cross-country,and Track & Field all on teams not just the sport itself. At first ,my dream was to be the most versatile wide-reciever you would ever face. Even coaches would say I have the best route running when I didn't play varsity yet(still did even at varsity level). In high school i balanced multiple sports sports-Track & Field, cross country and football. This means that all year round, I'm active. Each sport has it's demands are still hard to this day,but i had to find my focus. Which of these sports do I like more? Do I like to outshine everyone and win my race leaving an impression that my opponents will have someone to watch out for? Or am I the team player who will be needed on third and long? For me, I like competition! The more people I go against, the more at home I feel. I love big track races there are so many people to impress. But I don't want to stop at a high school level, I want to compete nationally, then olympically. I want to earn my spot at the Olympic trials in the 400m hurdles and race until who knows when, basically until my doctor says, "I'm sorry Jahaad, but your getting at that age when you should consider retiring." Other than that, I want to keep racing!
