Coming from a running family, I started my running career at age 8, participating in club teams under my father‘s coaching. My parents kept me active to say the least. In my younger years I rotated between sports like Football, Wrestling, Cross country, Basketball, and Track and Field. My biggest role models were my older brother, who already graduated college, and my older sister, who is currently attending college. The idea of doing what I have a passion for, on AND off the field accounts as a tremendous motivator for me. College is the next step for me to both better my knowledge in the field of Exercise Science/Physiology, as well as develop as a runner and athlete as a whole. Year after year of high school distance running I have gained knowledge about leadership, respect, and perseverance that would be useful to any college team, but my sense of humor and friendliness helps me connect with my peers, give them advice, and steer them to success.
