In track I am a sprinter and I run the 100m, 200m, 400m, long jump, and I have also participated in multiple relay races too. I am a natural leader and am happy to help others become their best while striving to always be my best and become better.
I have participated in mission trips with my church to Give Kids the World, a program through the Make a Wish foundation as well as mission trips to help others in Texas, Kentucky and Costa Rica. These experiences have opened me to understanding competition is about more than just the upcoming match or meet. It is about the competition against self and bringing the best in me every time I show up.
In sophomore year I received an award for breaking the school record in the spring medley with a time of 1:45.27. I also earned the Coaches Award for wrestling and track because I am a team player and take that commitment seriously. I received the Iron Man award every year since freshman year in wrestling for showing up to every and all practices and events, I have also won awards for Unsung Hero in football as a younger athlete.
I believe my coaches are coaches for a reason and respect what they have to teach me, but I am also upfront about ideas without stepping on the toes of those in authority.
