Running has been my passion for as long as I can remember. My parents to this day say my first steps were a 55m sprint. My whole life I played sports that heavily involved running, from making runs in soccer to stealing every base in baseball. It was not until my freshman year that I was introduced to the love of my life, track and field. Track became my passion from running mechanics to speed endurance to quick twitch muscle fibers and becoming more explosive. I have become a student of the sport and coming into my senior season feeling as prepared as ever before working with my trainer, going to the weight room, and getting reps in my blocks whenever I get this chance. Maintaining a 3.9 grade-point-average and attending to my National Honor Society duties on top of all of this can be a hassle at times, but it is worth all of the time I have committed. I plan on leaving it all on the track this year, and my times will speak for themselves.
