When I was growing up, I never wanted to try any sports. But that's when my parents forced me to play try basketball. I hated it... for the first week and then couldn't stop watching videos about NBA players dunking and me wanting to be like them. In middle school, my friends and I saw my ability to jump really high so I used it to my advantage since I was shorter than most. I started my track career as a freshman in High School and was introduced to the High Jump. My coach saw potential in me right away and told me to stick around. Immediately, I was hooked and couldn't wait for when i could practice again. That fire that was lit inside me is the same fire that is burning inside me to this day, the same fire that is helping me reach new heights today. My PR as a Freshman was 5'4", Sophomore was 6'0", and Junior is 6'4". My coaches also saw other ways I could benefit the team. I went to Adidas Indoor Nationals 2024 and competed in the High Jump, shuttle hurdle relay, and a 200m leg in the SMR. We placed 5th in the SMR and 6th in the Shuttle Hurdle Relay where were deemed All-American. I went to Penn Relays 2024 for the 4x400m Relay because I ran a 55s 400m Dash. Additionally, Since I'm a quick learner, I adopted the hurdles Sophomore year in light speed and ran great times like 15.88s for the 110HH and 62.01s for the 400m IH in Junior Year.
