2021 Spotlight Personal Statement
My name is Amoni Nykkia Byrd. I am currently in the 11th grade. I have a 98 average in all of my core classes and take learning very seriously. My second love is basketball. I attend Archbishop Molloy High School where I play on our Varsity Team and I am a starter on the team. I averaged 15PPG, 6RPG, 2BPG, 4SPG and 8APG. In 10th grade I averaged 18-22 PPG, 6RPG, 3-4BPG, 5-6SPG and 8APG. I train three (3) times per week with my father doing cardio in the fitness center and the rest of the week working on ball handling and perfecting my step back in the gym. I stay very active when it comes to my basketball. As far as college and academics, which is extremely important to me; I want to go to a college/University where I can study Medicine with the best Professors and have a great basketball experience. My ultimate goal is to go to a college or university I can call home and my teammates family.
