My name is Amoni Nykkia Byrd. I am currently in the 10th grade. I have a 99 average in all of my core classes and take learning very seriously. My second love is basketball. I have been playing organized basketball since I was in the 3rd grade. I played CYO basketball for St. Nicholas of Tolentine, from 3rd-8th grade. We won 4 championships and went 73 games undefeated. I was the MVP for five (5) years and scored anywhere between 15-25 points per game. I played in Middle School as well. I went to Nathanial Hawthorne 74 in Bayside, Queens. Upon my graduation from Middle School I received the Student-Athlete Award and Honors of Distinction Award. I attend Archbishop Molloy High School where I play on our Varsity Team and I am a starter on the team. I average 15PPG, 6RPG, 2BPG, 4SPG and 8APG. I train three (3) times per week with my father when my season is over and five (5) times a week when we are in season. I do strength training with my older brother twice (2) a week. I stay very active when it comes to my basketball. As far as college and academics, which is extremely important to me; I want to go to a college/University where I can study Medicine with the best Professors and have a great basketball experience. My ultimate goal is to make it to the WNBA.
