Brady O'Bleness '19 Recruiting Profile

I started to pole vault when I was a Freshman and fell in love with the event and worked hard over the course of the indoor and outdoor seasons to increase my PR and ended my freshman year at 8feet 6inches.

In my sophomore year I improved my PR by a total of 4 feet and came in fourth at districts qualifying me for regionals. At this point I realized I had a genuine interest in pole vaulting at the collegiate level.  I ended the season at 12feet 6inches and attended a pole vault camp the following summer to further improve my technique and continue pole vaulting in the post season.

I plan to improve my PR even more in my coming seasons as a Junior and hope to qualify for state this year.

As far as academics I am a solid worker and learn more when I am challenged in the class I am studying. I'm involved in clubs at my High School and am active in my community and hope to volunteer more this year than I did last year. I'm a likeable person and I would like to believe I am polite and courteous when talking to coaches and am a good sport and team-mate no matter the score or the PR.
