Hi my name is Chase Cook and I am a senior at Liberty Benton High School in Findlay, Ohio. I have been doing track practically my whole life. I started at age 5 doing the local YMCA track and field. As I grew up, by third grade i started AAU track for the Lima Striders under coach Chris Jackson. the next season we started our own team in Findlay under coach Dave Crawford and my father. I ran for the Flag City Flyers (Findlay is nicknamed the flag city) for my 4th, 5th, and 6th grade years. I ran for the junior high team my 7th and 8th grade years. As a freshman at Liberty benton I was the second leg on the 4x100 relay that made it to the state prelims. that year I was also conference and district champion in the long jump at 20-8. my sophomore season i was also the conference and district champion in the long jump as well as adding the conference and district 100 meter championship under my belt and was in the state finals running the second leg on our 4x100 and 4x200 relays. this past season as a junior I was conference and district champion in the long jump, 100, 200, and 4x100. at regionals i added a championship in the long jump, third in 100, third in 200 and second in 4x100. and at the OHSAA state meet the next weekend at Ohio State's Jesse Owens track I medaled in all four events taking 3rd in the long jump at 22-2.5, 4th in the 200 final with 22.41 (22.28 prelim) 4th in the 4x100 (43.51) and 6th in the 100 final with 11.14 (11.04 prelim, 10.94 in regioanl final)
