I have loved running and competing ever since I could walk. When I was younger, I would run around the house and see if I could beat my previous time. That's when I realized how much I love running and competing. I even do that today!!! Whether it be on the track, getting the highest grades in school, or playing cards with my friends, I strive to win. I have been doing four sports; golf, cross country, basketball, and track throughout my junior high and high school career. I share my love of running by helping the Knox County Ohio Special Olympics Track and Field team. I have learned that I can set crazy goals and reach them because of my competitiveness.
I strive to reach the top of my class in high school by becoming the valedictorian. I plan to attend a college that offers Athletic Training or Sports Medicine. I did not have a freshman track season because of Covid-19, yet I still ran by myself, sometimes doing some time trials-that was hard!!! Playing golf and running cross country at the same time is challenging. If I missed cross practice because of golf, I made sure I still got my run in for the day. I like to be social and the comedian of the team. I crack jokes and try to lift my teammates up whenever I can. When I finish my runs, I will go back on the trail/track and run my teammates in. I cannot wait to run for my high school team and then later for a collegiate team!
