I have been a long distance runner since 7th grade and have completely dedicated and committed myself to running over the past year. My dedication is my best asset and I apply it in both my academics and athletics allowing me to achieve the highest levels in both. I will always strive to be the best in everything I pursue in life and will never back down from a challenge. Coming from a school where we do not have any other elite distance runners I have taken the role of passing my knowledge on to the other runners and assisting them in improving. I feel that my running has helped me to be a role model to many people in my school and in my community and I want to set a positive example for others and want to inspire them to pursue their goals. My goals for my future in collegiate running are to run at the highest level possible and to represent my school, my community and my family well. After college I want to continue to pursue running at the highest level and one day represent Canada in the Olympics. Ultimately I want to find the school that fits me best both academically and athletically and continue to put in the work so I can reach my goals.
