Ashenafi McKinnis '27 Recruiting Profile

I am a sophmore from North Eugene High School. I'm currently in xc season with a PR of 15:34 and doing well. As a freshman I ran a 9:01 3k,1500: 4:13 5k as freshman 17:16. Ran a 3k Pr this xc season a 8:55 on Western University's xc course too. I'm a hardworker and will give 100% everyday. Sophmore year so far 4:06 and have't ran 3k yet not a lot of comp for 15 though can go much faster. Pr in the 3k for track 8:56. I just ran a 9:18 2 mile race at Oregon Relays and got 16th place and 3rd in my heat, also pr in the 3k by 13 seconds which is 8:43 2nd fastest sophmore there too. I just ran a 9:10, 3200 at Jesuit and splited a 3k pr 8:36 which am happy about. I got done with state ran 8:31 fastest sophmore in Oregon for the 3k and podiumed and set another school record. My next meet is Nike Outdoor Nationals and I'll be running 3k.
