Personal Statement
I began running in August of 2018. Not too long after, I fell in love with running. Every day is a golden opportunity to improve. I quit ballet after 5 1/2 years to focus on running and I don't regret my decision. I feel very fortunate to be in the situation I am now with a great coach, who's very dedicated to his athletes, and to have teammates that will help push me. They've taught me mental toughness, hard work, and commitment to my sport.
I feel like I can bring a lot to the table for any school. I’m a team captain and I've had many years of leadership experience so I love keeping my teammate's spirits up whenever possible. Along with my positivity and leadership, I believe I have a strong work ethic. This sport means so much to me, and I'm always finding opportunities to improve. Outside of my dedication on the track, I work very hard in the classroom and on stage. I'm very focused and use my time wisely in all of my classes and do theatre. I'm looking for a school that will push me athletically and academically. With all of this in mind, I look forward to the rest of the recruiting process and I believe I have what it takes to be a member of your team.
