Personal Statement

My name is Marshall Bush. I am a Junior at Tillamook High School in Tillamook Oregon. Currently, I am 5'8" and 130 pounds. I have a 3.97 non-weighted gpa and 4.0 weighted gpa. I have ran cross country the last 4 years and am running track for the third time this year.

My goal is to be a state placer in the 3000m in track and the 5K in cross country. Other goals are to run at Nike Border Clash and the Nike Cross Nationals. One of the key things I like about our high school program is the strong bond with coaches and teammates. When considering colleges, I'm interested in a school with strong academics, a competitive running program and the same special bond with coaches and teammates.

Ran group 1 on big day (31 mile day) I was only the second kid from Tillamook to complete group 1 ever! Got 14th overall in the uphill 5k I was the first kid to finish from the 4a division in Oregon for session 1.

Got 12th in the 3k the last day of camp, completed 18.5 mile Stanley peak (which only a handful of kids through out the camp did) , got 6 place on the uphill challenge (2k long)
