I will go to college where I can run, it is a big part of my identity and I am fully committed to being on a team. I was elected captain of both the winter and spring varsity track teams this year as a junior. If I am not in an event, I am at the line for my teammates energizing them. I have spent my summer in private coaching with Brett Harvey at Rider University to get ready for my winter season. I am at the gym pretty much every day, and I get better every time I run. I and am very exited to take it to the next level in college. I came in second in PAIAA states in 2022 and third in 2023 for 55H.
I had straight As this year (except Spanish...but I want to be an engineer). My GPA is a 3.6 right now, but if you toss my COVID freshman year (tough transition to online and at a new school) it's much higher. I am taking mostly AP and IB courses next year, including 2 sciences and math. I spent the last 4 summers taking precollege courses at Brown University exploring my career interests, and am now solid in my desire to be a civil engineer. Right now I have a 31 on the ACT, but I score much higher on practice tests, so I will be taking it again this summer to bring it up.
On a personal note, I design and make furniture, this is both a hobby and my primary source of income. I also compete in chess and am a certified scuba diver. I have two sisters, one at NYU and one who plays volleyball for Franklin & Marshall.
