Hello! First I will say thank you for taking an interest in me. I am extremely devoted to pursuing goals I have set for my future. Since 3rd grade I began two activities that changed my life.
At 8, I was introduced to Track and Field by attending a summer camp held by the Senior High coaches and teammates. There I learned every event but immediately found my strength was in throwing. I worked out and practiced multiple times a week, and in middle school had top marks for shotput and discus. My mother was never so proud to receive a voice message from the High School head coach "hoping I was going out for the high school team". I decided to concentrate on discus freshman year until my coaches asked me to compete in Javelin. And the story begins again there.. with me finding yet another throwing sport to work at conquering. I would like to pursue this at the collegiate level. Until then, I will continue to compete these next two years and coach the elementary and middle school kids in the summer. Something that gives me great pleasure is seeing them succeed too.
My interest in teaching does not stop with Track and Field, it extends into what I would like to do as a profession. I began studying the cello as well in 3rd grade and am now in multiple orchestras at North Allegheny and Pittsburgh Youth Concert Orchestra, performing in Italy last summer as 1st chair and soloist.
I see myself as a great motivator for myself and those on my team. Whether that is in Track and Field meets or orchestra performances, I strive to be the strength. I hope to show you someday.
