Personal Statement
Hello my name is Elias Gillen, I throw shotput and discus, and I am currently a junior at Rapid City Stevens high school. I have aspirations to throw at the next level and do what it takes to be the best athlete I can be. I would be a very good candidate because of my work ethic and my mindset to push my self for best I can do. I'm different from the others because of my ability to not be distracted, I just put my head down and work hard. I use this in all aspects of my life which is why I have a 4.0 gpa and I take my education seriously. That work ethic also allowed me to be on the varsity track team since freshman year. Overall all I feel I can be a great athlete for any track team.
