Growing up I never liked to just sit around all day. I've always been an active person, so my parents put me in sports from a young age. I have always wanted to play football but my parents didn't want me to because they didn't want me to get injured. Then I finally got the opportunity to join my team in 8th grade. During my eighth grade year, I didn't understand the sport, but when I got to freshman, that is when I got some coaches who were able to help me understand. Even though I had a later start in my football career than most athletes, I believe I am a fast enough learner to catch up to those athletes that started way before me. Ever since I started playing this sport I've always had fun, and I want to further strengthen my skills by making it to college. My high school goal is to get a great ACT score and bring my grades up so I can be more presentable to college coaches. My college academic goals are to stay on top of my work and make good grades so I can make it into medical school, but I know it won't be easy, I just have to work hard and push through just like I would in a game or practice.
I believe I would be a great pick for any college team because I know how to pay attention and listen to my coaches. When it's time to put in that work I am ready to go. I am fast, I am a quick learner, and teamwork means a lot to me because you can't get through those tough practices and games without your teammates.
