Hello, my name is William Senegal, a sprinter located in Allen, TX. I've always ran track, but I became deeply interested in the sport during the Summer of 2020. During this time, I was doing regular training with a college athlete, and the training pushed my limits hard enough to make me fall in love with the sport and want to do great things in it. Being in track has come with many obstacles especially, switching from cross country to sprint training. I also had to develop mentally to focus and reach my goals while competing, and had to deal with the sacrifices of putting my social life on hold to work towards running at the collegiate level.
Track has helped me evolve athletically and in my personal life. It has helped me learn that I can be disciplined and committed to the sport, while doing all the things needed to get better at it. I also have noticed that I can make sacrifices to achieve important goals that exist in my personal life. I learned how versatile I am athletically, because I started my career running Cross Country and running only the 800m during track season, and now I run the 200m, 400m, 4x400m, and I'm training for long jump in the upcoming season. I have a strong desire to do more in the sport because I run in high school, and for a track league, where I can continue to perfect the technique and skills needed to take things to the next level. These changes have also made me very coachable and a good communicator to athletes and coaches. Academically, once I make it to college I want to major in Computer Engineering and minor in Business, and I want to find the school that can offer the best experience for me academically and athletically.
