Personal Statement
I am a student at Bushland High School close to Amarillo, Texas. I will graduate in the class of 2022. I continue to pursue my dream of being a college student athlete. I am dedicated to hard work, being a loyal team player and being coachable. I lettered in track as a freshman by earning points in multiple meets including the district meet. As a sophomore I jumped a 22'3", but was only able to compete in 3 track meets before the coronavirus ended my season. As a junior I set multiple school records in the long jump with a season best jump of 22'9.5". I competed in the Regional track meet in multiple events and earned a bronze medal at the Texas UIL State Track and Field meet in the long jump. I was one of two sophomores to play on our varsity football team that went 12-1 and lost in the Regional Final. As a Junior I was blessed to score 16 TDs and to be selected by the Texas Sports Writers Association as a Honorable Mention All State Utility Back. I have twice been an all-district selection in basketball. I focus on academics by taking challenging Pre-Ap and Honors classes. I have been able to maintain an A average as well as receiving the Superintendent Scholar award all semesters of my high school career to this point. I was also a part of my school’s FCA leadership team and I am currently part of the Student Council and National Honor Society. My faith in Jesus Christ is a top priority in my life. He has blessed me with much and I strive to glorify him in all I do.
