Ignatio Amosson '23 Recruiting Profile

I have run my whole life. In fact, for my 5k in 2022, I got a time of 00:20:01, 6.27/mile. In 8th grade I got a mile time of 00:05:42, fastest time the middle school has gotten. Just a few weeks ago, I beat my mile time and got 00:04:59. Today, 7/20/2024 at 11:46 PM, just a few hours ago I got 00:02:35:41 in 0.7 miles. I reckon if I started at the one mile mark I would have gotten 03:35:00-something as my mile. I called my dad to let him know on the news, I was really hyped. Sometime in the next day of writing my personal statement I will attempt to run a full mile and beat my 00:04:59 and hopefully achieve anywhere around 4 minutes or less, 3 minutes and above. 

I also played soccer. I was recruited by two select teams, back to back. Dallas Kicks and North Texas Elite. I was playing a pickup game when a coach on the sideline saw me and decided to talk to me and my parents about me wanting to be on the team. I played American Football for middle school. I was the kicker and managed to kick a 35 yard field goal for fun while out in practice. 

I've accomplished a lot throughout the 20 years I've been alive but I think I should start showing my talent to the rest of the world. 

I am Ukrainian, born and raised. Adopted at 5 and currently reside in Nampa, Idaho. Both my parents and my brother along with my grandma live in Texas. I went to trade school in Montana after graduating in '23 from Hebron High School.
