GIOVAN ZAVALA '21 Recruiting Profile

I am currently enrolled at Edinburg High School as an incoming senior (2021).  I mainly run the open 100 meter dash and the  200 meter dash and the 4x100 meter relay. As a versatile athlete, I am also able to run the 4x200 meter relay as well. My athletic accomplishments began very late for me. This past year was my first year on the Varsity track team. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, ending my season for the year. I have always enjoyed track and have taken the necessary steps to improve myself by training in order to make myself stronger and faster. I am a very dedicated individual, and extremely passionate about what I do. Although I consider myself an excellent athlete, I also pride myself in being an amazing academic student as well. I consider myself to be a leader on and off the field, always going above and beyond in order to become a better person. This is what makes me stand out from the rest of the athletes
