The first time I competed in a track meet, I knew that this was what I was made for. I am a naturally talented athlete with excellent team leadership skills. I take direction mannerably and love working to improve my craft. I always give 110%. I have been working out from 4:30 to 6:30am , pay close attention in all of my AP classes in school, and finish the day with a team workout. I am not afraid of hard work.
I am currently working on coming out of the block with more power, speed, and efficiency. My goal is to place top three in state in both the 100m and 200m by the end of my junior year in high school. My plan is to train during the summer with a former collegiate track athlete who is known for improving run times by 1 to 3 seconds. I am also planning to continue to lift weights to increase leg strength.
I take many classes to prepare me for college including several AP courses as well as courses designed to help me earn a certification as a Pharmacy Technician. I volunteer as a little league football coach in the fall. I am also an assistant coach for my younger brother's basketball team .
I would like to attend a college or university that has a reputable engineer program along with a strong athletic department that looks out for and invests time in their students. I am committed to excelling in both the classroom and on the track. My parents have instilled a strong work ethic in me and my siblings and only accept our best. As a result, I am hard working, dedicated, intelligent and fast! I look forward to a bright and successful future in track.
