Personal Statement
I would really enjoy being able to run in college. I don’t really have set goals, because I’m never satisfied with doing “okay”. One of my high school’s quotes are, “The best is the standard.” I always want to be doing my best for the benefit of the team. I love that feeling I get when I know I helped benefit the team’s success whether it be in winning the district cross country meet or winning a track meet. I’m always ready to get after it when my number is called. I enjoy working hard every day to improve and I think that’s one thing that separates me. Rain, heat, or snow, I’m always getting the work in. In my life, God is number one on the podium. I really started running seriously in February of 2020, because I felt that God had plans for me with it. I was always able to work hard and when I called on God during my races, He would always provide me another gear to run a good race for His glory. I feel called that He wants me to take this to the next level. Academics is also high on the podium. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and I’m involved in many extra curricular activities like First Priority, FFA, Boy Scouts, Student Council, UIL Academics, and our Youth Group at Church.
